Pages of grace.

As the world moves faster and faster, art-making allows us to slow down and notice the moments of grace that occur in our every day lives.

In this restorative bookmaking experience, inspired by the healing-arts traditions of the indigenous peoples of Mexico, we will learn about the bark-paper books and ceremonial paper-dolls made by the Otomi Indians. Then we will build a simple accordion book and fill our pages with poetry, symbols, and cut-paper sillouettes to create our own "Blessing Book", expressing gratitude for the many gifts in our lives.
