Easy-Fold Books
Easy-Fold Books
Starting from a single sheet of drawing paper folded into eight segments, you can create dozens of variations of simple cut-and-fold origami book forms. All you need is scissors, glue-sticks, and coloring tools. Simple yet elegant structures that can include doors and windows, pop-ups and pockets, roof-lines and theatres. Perfect for a classroom bookmaking corner. We'll also learn how to attach extra pages or covers. Here are some sample projects:
One sheet with a zig-zag roof cut folds into....
... a standing house-book, with stories inside and out.
Peek-a-Boo House with lift-up windows.
Suitcase book with pockets to hold mini-booklets.
Ocean Book with removable fish puppets.
A four-fold accordion with photo-flaps...
lift each flap and read the story hidden below.
